The Link Between Height and Penis Size: Is There One?

One of the oldest wives tales around is that a man’s penis size can be determined by his height. Since all the erogenous zones of a woman - her breasts, hips, and legs – are all outlined by the clothing she wears, the size of a man’s penis has always been a guessing game. Without a first hand look, it is nearly impossible to guess a man’s penis size. Oh, there are always those men who swagger with bulging pants, but they not the norm.

Because a man’s penis size remains a mystery to most people, many myths have cropped up over the years, linking penis size to any number of outside factors. One popular myth is that a man’s height is an indication of his penis size.

Aside from height, there are many other myths that claim certain body parts indicate penis size, including the size of a man’s:

* Nose
* Ears
* Hand (measured from the wrist to the fingertip)
* Foot
* Length of arms and legs

In 2002, the British Journal of Urology International published the findings of a study, in which researchers measured 104 men whose feet sizes ranged from size 8 to13. The results concluded that there is no link between a man’s foot size and the size of his penis. Even though the study did not consider a man’s height, it is fairly safe to assume that the findings would be similar.

It does little good to compare penis size to other body parts, because the penis does not have to match the overall height of man, as muscles and bones do. Bones and muscles must be of a certain length in order for a man (or woman, for that matter) to maintain an erect posture.

The length of a man’s arms and legs is sometimes thought to indicate penis size as well. However, like height, genes and horomones determine the length of a man’s limbs, as they grow during childhood and puberty. It is very unlikely that the length of limbs and the length of a man’s penis are directly related.

Rather than compare penis size to height or limbs, it should be compared to a man’s nose or ear, since these body parts are not influenced by height either.

Such myths have always been popular, and will probably persist far into the future. Luckily, science can investigate to prove them or disprove them, as the case may be.
